Getting started

Controls, your first levels, and tips straight from the game.

The story

Welcome to Boombaland! Thorn Guard has claimed it, and Blom needs your help. Your goal: defeat Thorn Guard and free Boombaland from his thorns.

Controls

  • Touch: move with the joystick, tap the bomb button to drop a bomb, tap the skill button to use your hero's skill. Joystick and button settings are under Settings › Controls.
  • Keyboard: arrow keys or WASD to move, Space to drop a bomb, X for the skill, E to turn the camera.

Your first steps

  • Your levels. Swipe to see them all: winning a level opens the next one.
  • Stars show how well you did: one for a win, one for a win without a hit, one for the level's goal.
  • Pick Easy or Normal. Win a level to open Hard mode, then Impossible mode.
  • Energy: every level costs 10 energy. It refills by itself: +1 every minute, up to 100.
  • Boosters, chests and bundles, all on one page. Pick your boosters before a level. Tap back to return to camp.

Tips from the game

  • Walk into a bomb to kick it away.
  • Ouch! In this tutorial bombs don't hurt you. But watch out: once we start, they do!
  • Careful: no fence on open edges. Falling off ends your run!
  • Tiles here can collapse at random
  • You found a key! Keys open the chest of their colour. Tap here to open your chests.
  • Daily and Weekly tasks are open! Finish tasks for points, and fill the bar to open its chests.
